Don't Fold Me has no advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs. We do not receive your photos or facial measurements through the app.
Photos and facial processing
You choose pictures using Apple's Photos or Files picker. The app uses those selected images to prepare portraits, find facial features, match expressions, and animate a localized smile-to-frown transition. This processing happens on your device.
Facial measurements are used for the visual effect, not to identify you or authenticate your identity. An original stored only in iCloud may be downloaded by Apple's picker before import.
Optional generation with Apple
Generation starts when you choose the Apple creation action. Apple's Image Playground handles the reference image and request in its system interface.
On OS 27 or later, the generation model runs on Apple's Private Cloud Compute. The relevant image and request leave your device for processing. Earlier supported systems offered on-device generation. This app selects Apple's Animation style and does not enable a separate third-party image generator.
Apple states that PCC request content is processed to fulfill the request and is not retained or made accessible to Apple. Apple controls its service, availability, usage limits, and system diagnostics.
Retention and removal
Active photos, generated portraits, and facial measurements remain in app memory until replaced, removed, or the app process exits. Backgrounding alone does not clear the session. The app removes Apple's temporary generated-result file after importing it. Your original Photos and Files items are not modified.
Saving or exporting is your choice. Exported PNGs remain in your chosen destination until you delete them there. If the destination syncs with iCloud or another provider, it follows that provider's settings.
Your choices
You can skip Apple generation and use the mascot or import existing artwork. Remove the active portrait or quit the app to stop processing the current session. Delete exported images separately where you saved them.
No developer photo database or app account exists to delete. This policy covers the app; Apple and any storage or email service you choose have their own privacy policies. This support site has no tracking code or contact form.
